Psychological Description
Personality: Charles is a very kind & patient man with strong beliefs in that mutant and humna kind can and should live in paceful co-existence. He is a passionate educator, a mentor, and protector that has been seen as a pseudo-father figure by more than a few of the student's he's taken in over the years. Despite his extensive telepathic abilities, he believes it woould be unforgivable for him to use them without express permission, unless it was an absolute emergency..
At least, that's what everyone believes. Xavier is in fact a high functioning intelligent psychopath. Able to expertly affect a charming, caring fascade (particularly with telepathic aid). He is cruel, manipulative, selfish, cold, calculating, devious, and above all else, though he is aware what he does is wrong by all social standards, he genuinely believes he is not in the wrong. He is he good guy in his own story, not smply due to twisted delusion, but by merit of the honest belief that he is simply superior.
Relationships: Charles is loved, to varying degress based on their own emotional stabilities, by all of his staff and students. There are those for whom he is a father, a mentor, or simply just a teacher. But there are none who know the truth of who and what he really is. There is a loneliness in that, as he has no family left with which to even drop his anchor. But this loneliness is for the most part, temporarily, remedied by those rare occasions he uses or manipulates those close to him, even letting his cruel side show, only to erase their memory of anything he has done to them.
Powers/Abilities: Xavier is a master telepath. There is very little he cannot accomplish with the power of his mind. Reading, transmitting, sensing, exploring, manipulating, altering, erasing, implanting etc.
Weaknesses: Charles Xavier is bound to a wheelchair, a paraplaegic, which comes with all the obvious limitations. Though he hides his true self very well with a practiced empathetic persona, he is a classic psychopath that finds it difficult to read and understand emotions in others without engaging his powers to at least gain an academic or second-hand sense. This doesn't often pose a problem, given his intelligence, powers and experience, but in the right cirrcumstances could be his downfall.
Skills: Xavier is a verified genius, as evidenced by his extensive qualifications and accolades in the fields of education, sociology, psychology and biology. He also has a deep interest in historical, artistic and literary fields.
Equipment: Xavier requires a wheelchair due to a spinal injury that left him paraplegic. It is a high-end electric model available commercially, to those who can afford it. He also has access to a system named Cerebro, located under the main X Mansion; a telepathy augmenting aparatus of immense power and scope.
Background: Charles was the son of a wealthy but distant father. His mother died in child birth. His father re-married when Charles was just a boy, and along with a new mother came a new older brother. Charles was always a small, smart, frail boy, and was relentlessly bullied by his new brother who saw his weakness and took advantage. This, however, made an already disaffected Charles cruel. The boy kept this side of him well hidden, playing his part as the wimpy, wee young thing, crying to their parents when his brother was mean to him. However, there were many an occasion that his brother was on the recieving end of entirely undeserved punishments, which became progressively worse over time as did the tales Charles would tell on him.
They gave each other as good as they got over the years, each in their own ways. Until one day, when they were both young teens, the elder brother had had too much and snapped under the threat that he was to be shipped away to boarding school. Not particularly intelligent or forward thinking, he pushed Charles off a cliff on their father's estate. Charles was left in a coma, with a severe spinal injury that left him paraplegic.
It was in this time that Charles' telepathic abilities developed. His elder brother, no matter where he was, became plagued by both sleeping and waking nightmares, tortured and haunted by what he had done and anything else Charles could imagine or construct from his brother's own mind. This broke his brother completely, and he was committed. Charles woke soon thereafter, and continued to play his part of the dutiful, kind, mild-mannered son, growing into a very intelligent, kind and confident young man in years to come.
Charles, despite his limitations being bound to a wheelchair for the rest of his life, found great success in his fields, met many interesting characters along the way, and even occasionally visited his dear brother. He opened his school on his father's estate not long after inheritting it after his parents' death, several months apart and reportedly of natural causes. He has taken in mutant children with a mix of human and mutant staff ever since, having had a long side-line career as a mutant activist.
